Location: Nationwide (UK) with International Offices

About the Role

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, fast-growing investment banking platform as a Trainee Investment Banking Analyst, designed for ambitious individuals looking to build a long-term career at the highest level of finance. This role has been carefully structured as a development-focused trainee programme, providing hands-on exposure to live transactions, senior deal teams, and global markets from day one.
You will be immersed in the core functions of investment banking, supporting teams across corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, structured finance, and strategic advisory. From assisting on financial modelling and valuation work to preparing pitch books, market analysis, and client presentations, you will gain an end-to-end understanding of how major financial decisions are executed in real-world, high-value environments.
What truly sets this opportunity apart is the breadth of exposure. The firm operates offices nationwide across the UK, as well as internationally, offering genuine scope for travel, cross-border collaboration, and potential relocation for those seeking a global career path. You will work alongside experienced bankers, compliance professionals, and senior leadership teams, gaining insight into both front-office execution and the regulatory frameworks that underpin global finance.
A strong emphasis is placed on AML and regulatory compliance, and this is not treated as a box-ticking exercise. Given the highly regulated nature of investment banking, AML, compliance awareness, and an understanding of regulatory obligations are essential to the role. You will learn how AML frameworks, transaction monitoring, client due diligence, and internal controls integrate directly into deal execution, risk management, and client onboarding. This exposure will significantly strengthen your long-term employability and credibility within regulated financial environments.
The programme is designed to be challenging, rewarding, and fast-paced, suited to candidates who thrive under pressure, enjoy analytical problem-solving, and are motivated by working on high-impact transactions. You will be supported through structured training, on-the-job mentoring, and continuous feedback, ensuring you develop both technical excellence and commercial judgement.
This is more than just a trainee role. It is a clear pathway into a permanent investment banking position, with progression opportunities across teams, locations, and specialisms. High performers are recognised early and given increasing responsibility, visibility with senior stakeholders, and access to international opportunities.
